Aluminium

Aluminium Roofing & Cladding

Lightweight, corrosion resistant and versatile — a practical choice for coastal and large-span applications.

Performance-Driven Versatility

Aluminium is the material we most often recommend when a project needs to balance architectural finish with practical performance constraints — large roof spans, coastal exposure, or structures where reducing roof load is a genuine engineering consideration. Natural Metals fabricates and installs aluminium roofing in standing seam, double standing seam, SnapLok and nailstrip profiles, and cladding in interlocking, flatlock and standing seam configurations.

Aluminium naturally forms a thin, stable oxide layer on exposure to air, which protects the underlying metal from corrosion without any applied coating. For coastal Sydney properties in particular, this makes aluminium one of the most reliable long-term choices available.

Where Aluminium Is Typically Used

Aluminium is well suited to coastal and waterfront homes, larger commercial and multi-residential roof areas where weight and budget considerations are more pronounced, and projects seeking a crisp, contemporary finish in a broad range of factory-applied colours.

The Next 20 Years

Aluminium is the most visually stable of the metals we install. Left unfinished, mill-finish aluminium develops a light, even matte grey oxide layer within the first few months and then changes very little in appearance over subsequent decades — there is no rust, no significant colour drift, and no patina progression to plan around.

We can provide aluminium finish samples, including a range of factory colours, to help confirm the right specification for your project.
